This project focuses on creating a combined multi-nodal transport hub and mixed use academic building through the use of three interconnecting surfaces and the spaces between them at Monash University, Clayton. At the present time Monash and Clayton Council are in consultation together to build a new station at the University along the proposed Rowville train line which runs part of the length of North road. The new 2030 Monash master plan looks at using much of the wasted car-parking space to rebuild and upgrade the Alexander Theatre into a large performance orientated building. The station and the building itself would be the new gateway to Monash and is required to have a presence along the road front.
