Designing a next-generation tool for the doctors’ surgery.

A laryngoscope is a device used by surgeons to obtain a view of the larynx, a part of the throat. Current scopes do not provide sufficient flexibility for doctors to have a clear, unobstructed view of the site in all situations.

Utilising embedded technology, including lighting and a camera, Health Collab and partner researchers aim to produce a device that will result in improved surgical exposure and therefore surgical outcomes.
