Research Cluster Anchor Budget

For 2009, each Research Cluster will be allocated $2,000 in research support.  Additional funds may be made available for special projects.

The anchor budget can be used for:

  • Research Assistance (example – salary for Research Assistant)
  • Collaboration costs (example – costs of putting together a presentation, lunch with an important client)
  • Professional Development (example – workshop, conference attendance)
  • Printing costs (example for invitations, brochures)

The funds are NOT to be used for:

  • Teaching Relief
  • Equipment
  • Matched Funds for Grant Applications
  • Lunch meetings/get togethers for the cluster

Claims will need to be made via the Faculty Office and must be accompanied by a tax receipt.  Your claim will be rejected if there is an inappropriate use of funds.

Funds will not be carry-forward into the next year so should be expended in 2009.
