Degree: Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Architectural Design, 2012 Occupation: Architect Employer: Andrew Mikhael Architect, New York City
Since graduating I’ve been living and working in New York City. Working for a small 2-man residential architecture firm that works in both interior design and architecture.
In my work at Andrew Mikhael Architect we do a lot of residential projects and I like working directly with the clients. The ability to effect how people can live, work and feel in different spaces is fascinating.
The two Design-Builds were my favourite and most important aspects of studying at Monash. It was an opportunity to work with the actual materials at 1:1 scale. Learning the details and thinking about how things actually go together. As architects we have to meld the big conceptual ideas with the alignment of screws to put it together.
Andrew Mikhael Architect, Midtown West
We tied open spaces together with a neutral white oak floor. The floor runs through all rooms, including the bathrooms.
Andrew Mikhael Architect, Financial district apartment
Our challenge was to design a tranquil space with an expanded kitchen, storage, and a bathroom large enough for a soaking tub, all within the 580 square foot confines of the apartment.

Custom built-in Ipe wood furniture sets the scene for sunset dinners.
With an art, design, or architecture degree from Monash University, a world of opportunities, and the opportunity to change the world, await you.
