Degree: Bachelor of Fine Art, 2012 Occupation: Sculptor Employer: Meridian Sculpture
I work in a bronze foundry making sculptures for artists, architects, and designers. From very tiny and finely detailed, up to massive public monuments, every piece is different and has its own challenges. The foundry I work for prides itself on its quality workmanship and the skills I’m gaining there help me improve the execution of my own pieces.
I hadn’t experienced bronze casting before studying at Monash, but as soon as I tried it, I immediately fell in love with it. For the next three years, I was involved in every bronze pour done on campus. I graduated with the skills I needed in order to apply for work at a bronze art foundry and have loved every single day I’ve been with Meridian Sculpture.
