Lost and Found

The Faculty of Art & Design would like to invite you to the opening of 'Lost and Found' an exhibition of works by South African artists in residence Adele Oldfield, Nathani Lüneburg, Sidwell Rihlamvu and Sizwe Mabizela.

In 2008 Monash University initiated a series of residencies for four young South African artists. The present exhibition celebrates the outcome of this inaugural program and the cultural interaction between Monash and its Johannesburg Campus.

Since 1999 the visiting artists in residence program has included artists from a variety of media, cultural backgrounds and with specific research and project interests. Artists who have participated in the program include Stelarc, Paul Brown, Caroline Locke, Paul Derrez, Mauruzio Bottarelli, Marie-Jeanne Hoffner, Janet Lawrence, John Aiken, Leonardo Ortega, Marie Strauss, and Si Sapsford.

Each year between 8-10 artists/designers have the opportunity to be based here at the Faculty of Art & Design, Caulfield.
