Skinthetic is an exploration of future architectural skins that explore the body as an intuitive processor. Through challenging concepts of natural and artificial the Skinthetic surface addresses the body as a field to be manipulated through a series of interfaces that augments our understanding of reality. This extends and broadens our idea of self, beyond the image we fixate ourselves on today. Considering layering of skins, sensory perception and the role of reality and the hyper, Skinthetic suggests a new relationship between; space, body and perception. It proposes a space that exposes the overall reliance of our perception to visual cues through the performance of the sensory cosmetic, ultimately portraying the body as a hyper field synthesizing multiple sensory stimulus.
