In this design/make studio the focus and final outcome will be the manifestation of a full scale exhibition within a gallery context.
Through design, installation, intensive research and design make activities students will catalogue systems for the display of several media, create spatial strategies that augment the context, and create 1:1 interventions.
The studio will be led by Nicholas Braun & Amelia Borg of SIBLING, with other SIBLINGs as guest lectures and critics.
SIBLING is a design collective that works at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, cultural analysis and graphic communication to produce new and unexpected spatial outcomes. Whether the outcome be a building, installation, urban strategy or event, SIBLING’s approach insists on intelligent forms while fostering a positive socially engaged agenda.
Installation view, MADA Gallery, 22 November 2014 – 5 December 2014.
