Napper is a smart eye mask for shift workers to track and improve their sleep quality.
An increasing number of people are suffering from sleep disorder, especially the shift workers. By using a new technology--eye movement sensor, which is embedded in the eye mask to detect user’s REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, this project aims to monitor and assess user sleep cycle and empowers them to improve their sleep quality through the use of the eye mask and an android wear application.
The eye movement sensor is made using graphene-3d-sponge material, discovered by Monash Prof. Dan Li. It is highly sensitive and soft to be used in detecting user’s eye lid movement during REM (Rapid eye movement) sleep.
