Fine Arts

This semester my work centers around memory and forgetting, with a focus on the things that have been discarded or left behind. I am interested in these objects, like houses and once-loved toys, which are given away or abandoned and left to deteriorate. My work for this semester brings these objects back to our attention by placing them in a different context, re-animating or focusing on their corrosion. The works have been influenced by a number of artists including Walker Evans, Christian Boltanski, Jane Brown and Bill Culbert.
