If our relations and intimacies between each other can be captured by a visual play, what would it look like? Luminous Pulsation explores human relationships through the spectacle of a firefly display.

Family and friends were invited to wear these glow-in-the-dark brooches and enter into a dark room only to submerge themselves in a field of lighting bugs, filling the space with wonder.

This social spectacular seeks an insight of our human condition that secretly affirms our vision for longing and change. It left its viewers to question as to what humanises us.

As a young visual artist and performer, I explore the relationship between aesthetics and functionality. I make objects because I believe in their performative value, the intimacy of wearable and hand held functional objects affirm our human condition.
