The impermanence of the human body is mimicked by the ephemeral quality of light. The pieces I have created remain lifeless until worn. Through the movement and the presence of the wearer, the lights flicker on and off and or reflect light off the body. The effect grounds the wearer in the moment and stimulates a reflection of our own existence. This is important in an age of ever developing and increasing technology that forces us to question who we really are. These pieces are a reflection of technology through their creation and materials used. It is hoped through their man-made, glowing presence, that a conversation about defining our own existence will be ignited.
