NASA has set a goal to send a manned mission to Mars in roughly 20 years time. Before this can be achieved a life support system that can sustain human life for extended periods of time must be implemented. BioSupport is a regenerative life support system for deep space flight which utilises plants as means of producing oxygen, reducing carbon dioxide and proving food for those embarking on long term missions outside of Earth's orbit and beyond. The design consists of a cylindrical structure which uses aeroponics as a means for growing vegetation and an interactive module that runs through the centre of this structure. The module helps the user to navigate through the system and can even point the user to where the freshest produce will be!
