Nightingale is a trauma bag designed to be used by Ambulance Victoria. I have worked with Ambulance Victoria to help redesign the trauma bag currently used. This design focuses on weight distribution, usability and hygiene. The bag gives the option of being carried or wheeled behind the user.

The bag features a plastic exo-skeleton with soft inner bag, all of which is held together with a clipping system. This design allows for ease of cleaning.

The bag breaks apart into three parts. The main larger bottom half houses bandages and airways equipment. The mid section is purely focused on housing the drugs and aids. The top section contains the general items that need to be accessed quickly and first. In here are items such as thermomotors, stethoscopes and BP cuffs. At the base of this design is a space for a sharps container to be inserted for easy of disposal of hazardous waste.
