Now take a handful of sand, wrestle with the idea that each handful represents 250 million years of this planets life.
Most fundamentally, my interest lies in the observation of people, behavior and body language. Recently my work has drawn on my personal purgatory between a world of science and spirituality. To me it is about finding a compromise, between the truth and trust we find in science and the transcendental catharsis of faith and art. I believe humans innately have a tendency to ceremonialism occasions. With the context of art and the basis of science I aim reframe these rituals and habits. In turn I hope to inspire critical thought around the purposes and potentials in the nature of ceremony.
