The art I make is about abstract, gestural paintings. I have been painting for many years. I studied for my bachelor of Fine Art at Monash University and, I have been accepted at RMIT University, to study for a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2016.
In my work, I am preoccupied with contemporary aesthetic issues and with forms of visual perception. The work is free of interpretation. I do not use paint to convey meaning, but rather to explore the possibilities of the medium’s function. I am a great believer in artistic spontaneity. When I paint, it is physical. I do not work with preconceived forms and thinking which allows me to concentrate on expression. My art is created instinctively from deeply felt emotions.
