Within my personal practice, I aim to discuss issues surrounding national identity, human rights and equality as well as behavioural issues and experiences. During 2014, a shift towards the more specific issues of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender) equality and rights on an international scale has dominated my artwork. Through assertive visual language, precise geographical laser cut forms and dominant use of colours, I am aiming to open up a dialogue between country’s statistical viewpoints. This is achieved via conversations with individual nation’s consulates, and their stances on equality issues in United Nations documents and bills that are accessible to the public.
