Sole’d magazine aims to capture sneaker culture through the eyes of Melbourne. This first issue takes a look at the evolution of sneaker branding over the past century, beginning with the history of the humble Converse to the influences of Adidas today.

The overall design of the publication veers from the masculine aesthetic of existing sneaker news sources. It aims to be contemporary and gender neutral. All images were taken by Lilian Auduong.

A Melbourne-based designer with an appreciation for print, primary colours and fleek eyeliner.

Kusama and 60 Others
2015

Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artists and writer. This poster connects Kusama to 60 other creatives. Links have been drawn between Kusama and these people through the ideas that they explore in their works: the body, identity and sexuality, feminism and women in art or the relationship between art and the viewer. Some are also connected to Kusama through the style and aesthetics of their work. The poster is reflective of Kusama’s bold and colourful style.

Dress for Success
2016

An identity rebrand for the international not-for-profit organisation, Dress for Success. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing professional attire for job interviews, career support, job training and more.

The purpose of the rebrand is to update the current identity and provide a cohesive design across all brand collateral. It aims to be contemporary whilst maintaining a feminine aesthetic. It steers away from cliche symbols often associated to charity organisations.

Racism Is Not A Game
2016

An animated documentary made in partnership with Charlene Le. Racism often occurs on public transport and many choose to ignore it. The animation highlights the power of speaking up as a bystander. It situates the viewer in a game where they can choose to speak up or not given a circumstance in which racism has occurred.
