Confused? So are we. Australia is currently in the midst of a national political debate. Labor having just recovered from internal turmoil is promising those who vote for them a brighter future with the legalisation of LGBT marriage equality and the introduction of the National Broadband Network. All of this whilst the Coalition ofers to "stop the boats" and remove carbon tax. Also, let's not forget the other parties such as The Greens and PUP. So the choice is ours: who should lead Australia next? With the nation calling and the people uniting: September 7th - it's our call. Go prepared for Australia is about to change: for better or worse.

Hi, I'm Megan!
A designer based in Melbourne. Recent graduate from BA Communication Design at Monash University. I'm keen on publication, branding, packaging design and the occasional permanent marker illustration. I strive for a clean and witty aesthetic.
A redesign of a series of three book covers for Haruki Murakami's novel 1Q84. Minimalistic typography-based dust jackets along with large scaled photographic motifs on the back pays homage to the whimsical and interesting plots spun by Murakami himself.
Gurafku – a collection of visual research surveying the history of graphic design in Japan. A physical extension of Ryan Hageman's online curation of Japanese graphic design of the same name. Consists of 3 interviews with Hageman which details his process and ideas behind Gurafku along with a selection of some of Japan's best graphic design.
Kafka on the Shore
Constantly inspired by one of my favourite authors Haruki Murakami, a redesign of a dust jacket for Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. Illustration done by hand with watercolour and mixed media, scanned in digitally. Printed on canvas.
Travel Soap, 2014
Travel Soap - the soap you can take with you anywhere and everywhere! This gorgeous soap comes packaged in not only a cute box but the box itself also features a second handy purpose: a soap drainer! It is easy to assemble and now there is no need to fsh around for a soap dish to keep your basin soap scum-free. Highly recommended for those on the run when it comes to either travelling, camping or even at home. In terms of final production, a thicker waxed (waterproof) cardboard would be used for the drainer section for extended use reasons. The end result is a lightweight, reusable and eco-friendly soap box that is perfect to use with any soap for a mess-free and hygienic experience!
A packaging solution for the concept theme of reuse - to redesign a generic packaging into something which deserved a second life. The original idea was inspired by my hate for soap scum. The end result is a soap package which had a built-in drainer! Easy on the eyes and in terms of usage.
