The emergence of the phrase “left-over women” in China has aroused many people’s anger and bewilderment in the western world. They cannot understand how Chinese society’s can discriminate against these highly educated, high-income, above the average age for marriage, but still single women. “Left-over women” often live their lives very unhappily, because Chinese tradition cannot accept women who choose to live as spinsters.
This short animation light heartedly depicts a “left-over women” life in China. It features the combination of collage and stop-motion, using some photos as source material so as to give audiences a better sense of reality.
I love collage and graphic design. My passion is working with and integrating a variety of media with ordinary photos to create unique motion graphics and illustration.
