How do particular moments characterise the overall architectural effect?
How does the detail inform the atmosphere?
How does architecture shape the thresholds between our bodies, our cities and our natural world?
We will probe these questions by developing a set of detailed moments that constitute the overall atmosphere of a new headquarters for Aesop. Rather than plan a building, we will elaborate on a set of particular moments where the building encounters its surroundings and the people within it. The result will be an exhibition of drawings and experiential, architectural prototypes that will be held in the current Aesop function space and eating area at the Smith Street building in Collingwood.
