However the estate fails to offer higher levels of needs such as belonging and esteem. Problems such as gang violence, drug trafficking and racial abuse often occur in these public housing sites. The following intervention ‘Horace Petty+’ establishes two stark contrasting approaches for comparison. They explore the higher needs of value, belonging and acceptance humans crave within their lives.
The following set of architectural works was completed through my Bachelor of Architectural Design and Masters of Architecture degrees at Monash University. The selected works demonstrate my personal creative explorations.
This portfolio is a true reflection in my stage of becoming an architect. It is an ongoing exploration and search for my true style, identity and stand within Architecture. University has provided me with a framework to understand the field through a practical, conceptual and technical view. It has also allowed me be creative and challenge the approaches of a brief within a local and foreign context.
Having completed my Architectural Degree I am looking for an opportunity to introduce myself into the profession with a real world understanding. I am eager to tackle and learn from any tasks that lay upon me. I am a strong team player and always apply myself with 100% effort to all tasks.
I acknowledge have yet to fully understand Architecture. For this I look forward to new opportunities and experiences that lay upon me.
