Huntingdale
Interconnectivity

I have set up a network and node strategy that challenges the consolidation of this conventional Transit Oriented Development approach. I am creating a new system that weaves through and reconfigures the area around Huntingdale, targeting the industrial buildings.

This network and node strategy is developed in a sequential manner at 3 different scales, reinforcing the idea of interconnectivity in between and within the nodes. The project aims to create a weaving network of programmable spines focussing mainly on providing medical services to the growing elderly population by 2046, retail and entertainment services as well as residential facilities.

A nodal core emerges at the point of the intersecting spines. The node facilitates the interchange between the spines via a circular ramp overlooking a stage on the ground floor. It also provides for interactive spaces at different levels, articulating the dialogue between the array of interconnected programs, catering for the entertainment of a mixed generations.
